I bought this item and paid to have it delivered overnight so I could bring it on a business trip.

The Lenovo tip was not included. Okay, no problem, I understand they can’t include every tip in the box. It cost me > $10.00 (with shipping) to get the proper tip and a week waiting for it… Another item I purchase to charge my cell phone included one free tip with the purchase. A single free tip (if not included in the box) should be included with this “ALL” battery IMHO.

Lenmar PPU1619 Universal Laptop Battery (External) for All 16V – 20V Models, with Usb Powerport

Ordered this from amazon to use with a phone, laptop, and netbook. Unfortunately, Lenmar doesn’t offer a tip to work with my Asus netbook. It is difficult to understand (before purchase) exactly what laptops the included tips work with because the lenmar website data is so old. Lenmar claims the ppu1619 “Charges or Powers virtually all laptop computers”. Don’t count on it.

This charger looked like it would work with my iphone and my dell m1330 laptop, but this ppu1619 was defective out of the box. The lenmar battery seems to charge ok, but the charge dissipates over an hour or so when not in use, so you can’t charge this and then take it with you to use a few hours or days later. I reported problem to lenmar, got an email back in a couple days to send in for warranty repair. I have shipped back to lenmar (AT MY COST) to be repaired, even though it has never worked. I received a new (in retail pkging)replacement after 4 weeks, which seems to work ok. NOTE: If you own this item over 90 days, you have to pay an additional fee of $10 to get a warranty repair.

My laptop refuses to charge my battery so this worked out as a good solution to replacing my motherboard (which is where I think the problem may be). It does the job but the method of connecting it to the battery is poor. You slide on the connector and hope it stays on. If I set it on the floor just right, it’s OK. Overall, it works though so I’m happy.
