I purchased this to use in a small airplane that has no cigarette lighter plug-in. I use a GPS that has no internal battery. The unit is small and easy to use but the battery life is only 8 or so hours at most and is sensitive to higher temperatures. I was flying with it last weekend and the battery life was very short – only several hours. It shut off long before I expected.

Also, it didn’t come with an adaptor for my computer so I’ll have to purchase that separately. There was no way to know this ahead of time – disappointing.

It is small and easy to carry. If it isn’t needed for too long a time it’s a good thing.

I ordered this item against my better judgement considering all the negative reviews. Unfortunately, my faith was not rewarded. The unit I received would not hold a charge, so I returned it. I thought about playing the return for replacement lottery until I got a working unit, but decided poor initial quality had a high likelihood of translating into poor lifetime quality. Sad, this looks great in concept.

My laptop refuses to charge my battery so this worked out as a good solution to replacing my motherboard (which is where I think the problem may be). It does the job but the method of connecting it to the battery is poor. You slide on the connector and hope it stays on. If I set it on the floor just right, it’s OK. Overall, it works though so I’m happy.
